Assumptions, scope & sources
Tax Year 2026–27 uses the Income-tax Act, 2025. Earlier financial years use the Income-tax Act, 1961 with applicable amendments. The old and new tax regimes are separate choices within those laws.

How to use SWP Calculator
Explore withdrawals, inflation and how long a starting corpus may last.
Inputs and definitions
Starting corpus, withdrawal amount and frequency, inflation, assumed return and projection period.
Method and formula
Update the investment balance with the assumed return and withdrawals over time. The constant-return projection does not reproduce market sequence risk or future tax rules.
Illustrative example
At a 0% return, no withdrawal increase and no fees or tax, ₹12 lakh supports 120 monthly withdrawals of ₹10,000. Actual returns and withdrawals can shorten or lengthen that period.
Scope and limitations
A systematic withdrawal is a sale of investments, not guaranteed income. The schedule excludes tax unless explicitly stated.
These examples explain the method. The interactive result depends on the selected facts and period, and is not a filing or an eligibility confirmation.
