YOUR SITUATION

Map the person, period and income

Identify the income period, residential status, employment changes, income sources, properties, investments, business activity, foreign interests and any losses. These facts guide both the return form and the computation.

  • Write the financial year, assessment year or Tax Year in full.
  • List every income source, even where no tax was deducted.
  • Flag facts that can restrict a simpler ITR form.

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

Collect and reconcile the evidence

Bring records together by year, then compare your information with AIS, Form 26AS and relevant certificates or challans. Investigate differences instead of copying a portal value without context.

INTRODUCTORY DISCUSSION

Bring the question, not confidential files

If a blog or result raises a question, share your name, contact details, topic and a short description. After the request is saved, choose an available time through the supplied Google appointment page.

Do not send PAN, Aadhaar, account numbers, passwords, OTPs or financial documents through the public form. The discussion is introductory or educational and does not create a public-practice engagement.

Questions about Income Tax

Will a calculator confirm my refund?

No. A refund estimate compares the supported tax computation with entered eligible payments. Processing, mismatched credits, demands and other facts can change the amount and timing.

Which Act governs income from 1 April 2026?

Income from 1 April 2026 falls in Tax Year 2026–27 under the Income-tax Act, 2025. Returns for FY 2025–26 and earlier remain under the Income-tax Act, 1961.

Does the website support every income type?

No. The income tools offer ROR, RNOR and NR with separate, limited foreign salary, ordinary-income and verified business-profit inputs. They do not determine residency or calculate foreign tax credits, treaty relief, foreign dividends, foreign gains or foreign property income. Each tool states its additional limits.

Are documents uploaded here?

No. The checklist is for your own preparation. The website enquiry form asks only for contact details, a topic and a short description.

Can I file directly from this website?

No. Use the official Income Tax Department e-Filing portal after selecting the correct return and reviewing the complete information.

What happens after I request a conversation?

Your contact details and topic are saved for review. You can then open the supplied Google appointment page and choose an available time; the website request itself does not reserve a slot.
